The blog I created is for a class I am taking on marriage. Saying that I will still be pouring my heart and soul out as I have on my personal blog and other school related blogs. I want to include the purpose for the blog and described by the assignment.
Purpose of Online Marriage Blog:
The primary objectives of the major in marriage and family studies at BYU-Idaho is to help students acquire necessary skills to successfully interact within today's world and to play a significant role in strengthening marriages and families throughout the world. In this course, you will work toward these goals by using technology and articulate, persuasive communication skills to proclaim sound principles about marriage by creating an online blog. This learning activity is consistent with counsel from the Brethren to the Saints to use social networks to proclaim the gospel, but keep in mind that the focus on this online blog is focused on the heart of the gospel—marriage and family.
Through your personal blog, you will have opportunities to think deeply about things you learn in the course and to share the principles and insights you believe will make the biggest difference in strengthening other marriages. If you take this learning activity to heart and follow the quiet impressions that come through the Spirit, you will have opportunities to touch individual lives in personal ways.
I know I am not the perfect husband or father and I have a lot to learn about both. I hope this blog and class will help me be better at both.
